There’s something about Laos that is really “same same” as they like to wrap things up in Asia... Yet there is also something about Laos that is completely different from its neighbours. Perhaps it is the lush green landscapes. Lazy water buffalos lounging in the river. Tiny hills, hiding caves yet to be discovered. Endless watermelon fields. Or the pink sun setting in the smokey sky. Hmong villages near the Chinese border. Monks in their orange robes. Sticky rice. French baguettes. And no hurry.
